 CathPCI Registry™ Risk Adjustment Methodology:

NCDR developed a risk adjustment model for the CathPCI Registry that offers registry participants the ability to monitor the outcomes of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and to fairly compare their outcomes to the overall CathPCI Registry experience. By accounting for patient risk factors that are present prior to PCI, risk adjustment "levels the playing field" among participating facilities whose data meet strict inclusion criteria, and controls for factors that may affect patient outcome.
